Hi. My name is Alena and I think the quote above most accurately describes my thoughts about photography. For me, photography has became the way to express my view of the world. And it all began with painting in an art school. Since then, these two art forms have a close relation in my work. A photograph without author’s style is just a dry documentary.

The camera and I were are inseparable for the last 10 years. I used to shoot all kinds of things: fashion, interiors, architecture and landscapes. But nothing fascinates me more than people. I like to photograph people’s love. Love with their significant others, with their families, kids. This makes love stories, weddings and family photos my favorite genres to shoot.

In my work you won’t see unnecessary details, overly redundant jewellery and motley backgrounds. The most important subject for me is people, their feelings and emotions. Everything else should not distract the viewer.

Perhaps, I’m a philosopher in the world of photography. I love how photography allows me to stop time. Wherever I am, I can always preserve what my eyes see at the very moment. Helping others to save their favorite moments—this is the essence of my work.
